MY STRATEGY TO MOTIVATE STUDENTS TO LEARN MATHEMATICS BY INSERTING THE HISTORY OF MATHEMATICS ?

Most of students think that Mathematics is a difficult lesson, although Mathematics most consist of number and symbol, actually, mathematics is enjoy learning. We can think abstract and develop our reasoning thinking.
As a mathematics teacher candidate, we should give motivate to our students in order to enjoy to learn mathematics, such us by telling story about the history of mathematics. They are going to more interest by some stories. So, the students not feel bored because always dominate with symbol and number. By telling story, the students could know the history of scientist in Mathematics and they can learn everything to motivate them from that scientist. There are some ways to inserting the history. For example: we are going to explain about Pythagorean Theorem.

Why should I learn The History of Mathematics ?

History is the discovery, collection, organization and presentation of information about pastevents. Most of people think history is the past that no longer need to remember, though, from history we can learn many things. By history can change us to be better than ever. we could take a lesson from every experience of our past, so that we can be better for the future.
Especially in Mathematics, as Mathematician is also needs history to know everything what happen in the past, and then we can learn from that. we can know the development of mathematics from years to years. We can see the context of everything which happened in the past. By learning the patterns of the events in the history, we can recognize the patterns in what is going on around us and then take the appropriate actions to do better. All of the people in this world, certainly never got a failure. but that failure should not make us broken our spirit,by history, we can be more passion in life to become better and learn from previous experiences.

Number theory is the branch of pure mathematics concerned with the properties of numbers in general, and integers in particular, as well as the wider classes of problems that arise from their study.
Number theory may be subdivided into several fields, according to the methods used and the type of questions investigated. (See the list of number theory topics.)
